it most definitely runs in my family; my dad, my brother and me, a nephew coming up.

Cock and ball size, like all traits, are genetic in basis but that guarantees nothing. They are passed along through our genes. Like all traits, just because some members of a family have the trait, does not mean that all will have it.

Many people in one or both families possessing a trait increases the likelihood of it being passed on (remember the same gene from mother and father has to line up directly across from itself in the chromosomes when the egg and sperm meet in order for a trait to manifest). The likelihood of this increases if both parents carry genes. Same with height, hair color, eye color, weight, etc.

yes, it runs in my family. I stumbled across some nude pictures of my father one time when I was a teenager, he was probably a little bigger than what I am now. I found out a few years later that he was gay and then my parents got divorced. Never seen my brother but I assume he's similar to me and my dad.

I've seen my father and brother nude but never with an erection (we're not that close of a family...), so I can't speak to that subject. As I recall, even flaccid my father was unusually thick, just like me. My brother and I are identical twins, and not surprisingly our penes look essentially the same.

While I'm bigger than the men in my family they are still large compared to the rest of the population so I'd have to say, yes, it's at least in part genetics.

Has anyone had a family in which most of the guys were well-endowed but just *one* was not? How was it dealt with, if at all?

Does for me. My father and grandfather were apparently quite large. Not sure about uncles/bros/cousins, since I dont have any. (small family sadly)

I have lived with 7 brothers (3 older 4 younger). We are a fairly private bunch, so seeing it in person is least likely to happen. However, the second youngest was hard in shorts once, and we ridiculed him to no end. My guess is about 4" for the brat and that was at age 17. If he has or had a spurt we'll never know but to us he is the smallest "one" of the family.

My grandfather, by all accounts, was considered well-hung, and was very open in showing his body.

Back to the topic: is size genetic? I don't know. My son does have the same genetic material as far as I can see but my brother and his son are different and none of us are like our (grand)father.
