The same right wing radical conservatives who are in favor of the so called "Patriot Act", are the same people who call practically everything "pornography".

The same "Patriot Act" gives them the tools to investigate ANYTHING. ANYTHING.

Right now, you have NO RIGHT TO PRIVACY what so ever because a majority of Americans voted Republicans into control of all three branches of government.(Yes, I know that the Supreme Court is not elected. But, it might as well be for the scary results of Shrub's appointments.)

Our government is flauting the laws regularly. And, there is no one to stop them.

Once again, I will implore any of you reading this thread to open your eyes and pay attention. As of passage of "the patriot act" THERE ARE NO 14TH AMENDMENT PROTECTIONS. The establishment of the Department of Homeland Security and the Patriot Act re-organized many many federal and state agencies to fall under the jurisdiction of the DHS. It also gave very broad sweeping powers to various agency heads to make decisions which are not specified in the law, but basically allow them to circumvent the "search and seizure" provisions in the Constitution. If they hear rumors of a website that offends them, they will make some far-fetched claim of "national security" and then have carte blanche to search and seize whatever they want, from whomever they want, with or without a warrant. Even if they have a warrant, they (according to some of these illegal laws) can seize anything they want, even if it is not particularly described in the warrant, and arrest you based on that. They can seize your computer, your financial documents, your bank book, your television, anything they want.

I am one of those nerdy nuts who actually reads some of these laws, beginning to end.

Let me stress again - it really has nothing to do with Rob censoring or punishing minors - just simply covering his ass and allowing adults to continue using this forum.

As far as I know, there is only one group fighting to help us retain our right to view what we want on the internet, and that is The Free Speech Coalition. Please, please, PLEASE check out their website at http://www.freespeechcoalition.com and read up on 28 USC 2257. Give FSC your support. LPSG's continued existence depends upon it.

Why should you get heat for telling the truth?? That's about the size of it here in the states. You get 20 years for a sex crime and can be out in 10 if you commit murder.
