happy holidays! what's your holiday & plans?

Well with little less than a week away, I thought I'd ask my favorite gang of online lunatics what yours are. Myself being baptized catholic, I'm going to be spending Christmas at my mothers along with my sister, my brother in law, my brother, and his girlfriend. Would've had a family friend over too, but according to mom, he ran out of vacation time.

So, whats your holiday, folks? And how do you plan on spending it?

What does being a baptized Catholic have to do with spending Christmas with your family? We Protestants do the same thing LOL. We even eat and open presents. :p

Perhaps I should've worded that differently; I'm only baptized catholic; I'm not devout!

At my house I'm having our traditional family get-together on Christmas Eve for exchanging gifts with my sisters and their hubbies, a bunch of nieces and nephews and cousins and my kids and grandkids.

But we usually open the presents before we eat them.

Good to see that you are getting plenty of fiber in your diet...

My parents, my girlfriend, two of her children, and my two kids are all staying with me this weekend. Some of us will go to church Christmas Eve. Other friends are going to come by during the day on Christmas Day.

We're going to open presents, drink eggnog, and I'm going to make a VERY simple Christmas dinner, someting like a ham, some yams with marshmallows, and some potato salad. We can have sandwiches instead of a big production meal.

Afterward, I'm going to get drunk on Maker's Mark and beat the hell out of all of them. Every last motherfucking one of them. Then I'm going outside to scream at cars with Dr. Rock.

Still no bloody-damned clue.

Might go join in the drunken screaming-at-cars bit tho. Sounds like fun.

Then I'll have frenzied sex with J in all the wrapping paper under my Christmas tree before my kitten pulls it down again.

Go drinking with the boys on Christmas Eve, and get a lot of work done the rest of the time. Between Christmas and the week after new year is a great time to work, because you're pretty much on your own then and don't have to take the usual load of shit from the others.

Or maybe I'll join the official anti-christmas movement.

5-6 hr road trip to Mom's place in a snowy little east Ontario village.
Interesting to see my 20 mo. old daughter's response to the Christmas at her 88 yr old granny's home. Mom still cooks a big dinner for all and refuses much in the way of assistance.

never let worldly things or situations steal your joy

I'll be going to visit my family in Cleveland. First time, since my sister just moved there. Anybody know anything fun to do in Cleveland?
