Multiple identical posts: how to fix the problem

Several members in the "Help Desk" section have complained that, in some older threads, you see identical posts repeated until the end of the page. I have noticed that this happens when a guest (or

Multiple identical posts: how to fix the problem

Several members in the "Help Desk" section have complained that, in some older threads, you see identical posts repeated until the end of the page.
I have noticed that this happens when a guest (or unregistered member) posts in a thread (this was possible in the past; now, one has to be a registered member to be able to post).

Here is one way to be able to see all posts:
If you look at the top right corner of your LPSG screen (above the first post showing on the screen), you see a "Display Modes" option in the menu. By default, "Linear Mode" is selected. If you choose "Hybrid Mode" or "Threaded Mode", you will be able to see all the posts.

If my explanations are obscure, try it, switch to "Hybrid Mode" or "Threaded Mode" and you'll see for yourself.:)

EDIT: I just realized that Hung9Mike found the same solution before I did (I did not know when I first posted this):

I found that switching the Display Mode of the threads to either "Hybrid Mode" or "Threaded Mode" solved the problem I observed. It involves members who have left LPSG. In "Linear Mode", their posts are repeated along a thread from the point from which they made their post until the end of each displayed page, obscuring all the posts that current members made in between.

I do not seem to have "display" as an option anywhere on my screen to help get rid of the multiple posts. Any suggestions
