This doesn't really qualify as a creepy movie, but there is one scene in Crocodile Dundee" where Linda Kowalski's character* goes down to the river to* bathe, and a few seconds later a giant croc pops out. nearly scared the shit outta me when I 1st saw it!
I remember this. I jumped too because it was such a surprise when it happened. From what I hear, surprise attacks at river banks are often the way crocs take prey.

Yeah, I hear tell that crocs are infamous for surprise attacks like that. Just another good excuse to not go swimming in a river/lake.

Here's another scene I thought was powerful in Jurassic Park: Its a dark and rainy night. The power goes out and the electric fences are all inoperative. The dinos are probably loose. Everyone is nervously looking around when suddenly the ground begins vibrating slightly and the camera focuses in on someone's glass of water. Tiny shock waves are rippling through the water in the glass due to T-Rex's approaching footsteps.

Obvious one I suppose, but right at the end of Friday the 13th...Jason jumping out of the water capsising (sp?) the boat. (Best bit of that average movie!)

Actually, the creepyest thing in the world, ever, is Daniella Westbrooks' cocaine ravaged nose...eww -> http://www.evilgerald.com/Issues/Issue5/story1.htm

I saw "Saw II" the other day and there's a creepy scene involving a death mask at the start, but it's all downhill from there.
