When I was 13 and in a camp ground shower these two guys who were in high school asked me how old I was. After I told them one of the guys said, "dang your dicks bigger than ours." I didn't really understand what they were talking about. I mentioned it to one of my friends and we ended up comparing and I was a lot bigger than him. He told some other friends and then for a while they were all asking to see my dick and I would always only if you show me yours too.

That occurred pretty much at the same time, when I was 14 and did a growth spurt bringing me in front of all the other guys (to about 6.5 inches), and even more dramatically when I shot to 8.5 inches, aged 16. My first sex I had when I was 14, and that was when word about my size (at least a half-inch more than other guys my age) spread among the girls.

I knew I was big my first year of high school. I played Water Polo and Swim, and have to wear those Speedos. I noticed I was bigger than most of the guys there. In the locker room, I was even bigger than some of the seniors.

Being a grower, I 'fit in' with everyone else in the locker rooms throughout school. As an adult I saw some size survey information in a magazine (pre internet boom) and measured myself. I thought I was average or slightly higher than average in length, but when my first sexual girlfriend said "Wow!" I had to ask why. She said I was among the biggest she'd seen. I later learned that she had significant 'experience' and that made me feel better that she just wasn't trying to complement me.

When the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. girlfriends basically said the same thing, I finally accepted that I was above average. ;) I didn't realize my girth was much higher than average until I saw some surveys that had that data.

When I was about 14, I wondered how I measured up, so one day, after swimming at my neighbors' pool, I was changing in the cabana and left the door purposely ajar. I undressed and had an erection in no time. I then stalled, pretending to dry off while the oldest girl neighbor got out of the pool. She was a year younger.
