If you're having impotence problems, just ask your doctor. Viagra can have some potentially lethal drug interactions if you're not careful.

I would be very cautious about trying to find non-prescription Viagra or any of its counterparts. As this is a prescription-only drug, buying online is risky at best. There is no quality control, and often what you get contains no active ingredient, and some very unpleasant components are often used in the counterfeits in order to make it look like the real thing.

To dispel the main myth: if you do not have erection problems, about all Viagra will do for you is raise your blood pressure. It does not increase libido, it does not make the penis larger. The active ingredient in Viagra simply increases the level of certain nitrogen oxides in the bloodstream. In a man with erectile dysfunction, this allows some increase in the blood flow to the penis - but only if there is dysfunction (usually due to nerve damage or vascular damage.) In diseases like diabetes, some nerve damage may occur which impairs the function of the little valve that controls blood flow into the corpus cavernosum. In some vascular disease, the blood vessel damage causes similar problems with blood flow to the corpus. In a healthy male, the increase in the nitrogen oxides in the blood stream does not have any effect upon the erection, just on the normal blood pressure.

The advice to check with your physician and forget the online stuff is right on target.

unclebob: I am a long time lurker new member who is not looking to preach. I just recently went to my doctor for probloems with my erections. Well worth the effort for a 20.00 copay I got about 40.00 worth of samples. Cialis and Levitra and a prescription for both. I have only sampled the Levitra so far taking half a 20mg. pill. great results My erections without it is about a 5-6 on a scale of 10 with it a 9 or 10. I am 43 and have had these issues most of my adult life. for those interested Male 80 percent straight. flacid about 2 inches fully erect 7x7

News out yesterday that Viagra (particularly with those who have diabeties) is thought/theorized to cause blindness, stay tuned.

Every once and while, there's nothign like Viagra n' X.

Viagra and Other Pleasure Enhancing Drugs.

Based on what I have heard on the National Media in the last three days I have one comment.

What good is a strong hard erection if you can not see it? I suspect that there will be some major changes made at the FDA.

I am just glad I have not tried any Drugs for Performance. I have learned by experience that eating healthy and proper exercise allows my blood flow to the penis to work effectively.

I also, did give up smoking about seven years ago and I certainly think that also helped me in my quest to continue to have appropriate erections.

Keep in mind that Viagra has been available for over 7 years and has been taken by over 23 million men worldwide. There have been 38 cases of blindness so far. This could all just be a coincidence.

In answer to your question Bignthk1:

http://www.inhousepharmacy.com/
http://www.edrugnet.com/
http://www.yourhealthypharmacy.com/
http://www.sharpmeds.com/
http://www.pmeds.com/
http://www.life-pharmacy.com/

None of these places are in the U.S. but, they are probably the most reliable internet pharmacies you can order from without a prescription. Contrary to popular opinion propagated by the $$$pharmaceutical companies in this country, their multinational counterparts are also held to strict manufacturing standards. The above listed pharmacies send pills in blister pkts with the drug info, expiration dates, manufactures' number stamped on the back of the inner foil pkt. Because these companies sell in quantity, they sometimes split up original pkts so each customer does not always receive pkg insert (this can be downloaded online) or outer box (altho often part of this label is clipped and sent along). Enough of the original pkg is included to know these pills are not likely manufactured in someone's cellar, at least as much as is possible w/ any medication purchased in whatever country.

Hope this helps.

The one thing I have bigger issues with than pharmaceutical companies are online pharmacies. I think if you order from one, you should be arrested. There's a reason why they're controlled substances in this country. And like, how shady is a doctor who writes a script online. You people are nuts.

Hey Nix:

I was just answering his question.

Now if he asks me if I've been happy with anything I've ordered from these places I will truthfully reply to that as well. The answer to that is: I believe you get what you pay for.

I'm an old man Nix. I like a lot of sex but, at my age, I need Cialis. Its expensive. I tried the online pharmacies and found their products weak. I have gone back to paying the big bucks at my local Sav-on Pharmacy and believe its worth every cent to get the genuine product.

And, you're right -- I am nuts -- that's what folks like best about me.

I disagree -- there are absolutely valid reasons to order from an online pharmacy. I have epilepsy, for example. I don't currently take medication for it, but I used to. Back in the days before online pharmacies, in order to get a refill, I'd have to schedule an appointment with the doctor, waste his time and my own while other people with more pressing medical problems are sitting in his waiting room. If my condition were serious enough to require medication, I'd really appreciate the convenience of being able to order refills without leaving the house.

(P.S. One of the biggest reasons that medication is 'controlled' is so that drug companies can charge higher prices for them, knowing that they'll be covered by insurance. Both Zantac and Claritin were much more expensive before they became OTC.)

You know what's weird? I have yet to find an online pharmacy that is even the same price, much less cheaper than my scrips at Walgreen's. For example, each Cialis pill is $15-$25/pill online and $9 with a prescription at the drug store? And my health plan pays 0% for hard on pills. Other than NOT going to your Dr., and not being honest, where's the benefit?

And a Dr. will make sure your aren't "cross prescribed" a drug that is dangerous or will interact with other medications. Worth an office visit and some honesty in my opinion.

Not to plug Walgreen's Nixxy. It's just the retailer I use.
