I didn't think I was so socially conservative. LOL I always thought of myself as being more of a moderate Republican. I hope y'all will still love me :P

I did this for fun too. I think my only surprise is on fiscal issues, but I think I know why (see below). I know I'm liberal on almost every social/personal issue.

Your Political Profile
Overall: 5% Conservative, 95% Liberal
Social Issues: 25% Conservative, 75% Liberal
Personal Responsibility: 0% Conservative, 100% Liberal
Fiscal Issues: 0% Conservative, 100% Liberal
Ethics: 0% Conservative, 100% Liberal
Defense and Crime: 0% Conservative, 100% Liberal

Both jonb and I found the same question very hard to answer.

Some of these will be liberal either way:
Quote:
11. It's more important for our country
Reduce the deficit and national debt
To help the poor and helpless
I agree with him that in the current political climate in the U.S., both responses reflect a liberal point of view. I ended up choosing the more liberal of the two, I suppose. And like Pecker, I had a hard time with the Social Security question too. I haven't been fully convinced that there is any problem with the system that has to be addressed at this time. Unfortunately, "none of the above" was not an allowed response. :D

Fiscal Issues: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal

My only complaint is not that it's so simplistic, but that for many of the questions, both choices are wrong!

That's it, isn't it? (And both are, for me, vital priorities.)

What interesting results we're seeing here!

(It's all about prevention and education, isn't it, Mark? :D )

I’ll admit it- I’m shocked. As a card-carrying redneck (and considering my voting history) I thought that I would be more conservative.

Looks like I’m a conservative who’s lagging in ethics.

rant: I honestly can not stand people who choose one of these labels. It just seems so ignorant to me, why would you cement your beliefs into something as pathetic as a single word? To see people babbling away on the news, in blogs, on podcasts, and on generic novelty variety hours just makes the future look that much more hopeless to me. And those results to this little quiz.. It shows nothing of my views or ideas about life. For one, I hate politics! And what is politics, why does the human race think it's even ready to comprehend such a complex idea? No one will ever know what's better for another person, and should not be allowed to assume they do. People are idiots, and those same idiots are deciding the future for the other idiots, and hoping to convince the other-other idiots, that they're the idiots! Idiots idiots idiotsqwkejgsngfj I totally forgot where I was going with this.. Either way, just ignore me, I'm not even old enough to vote. Hell, I'm not even wise enough to form any vaild opinions yet. But then again, who is?

I agree with some others that sometimes both answers are wrong, but then sometimes it is those questions that define us. If it had been easy questions we would all have about the same score. Are you for helping those in need? yes or no. Well who would mark no. But then the way they put it forced everyone of us to lean one way or the other when we really didn't want to and it defined us.

Not only that, but Democrats are better about budget. Also, unless you make over half a mil a year, you probably pay more taxes per dollar under Bush than you would've under Clinton. And if you pay more than 7.5% of your income as medical expenses, you also pay more taxes under Bush.

Here's a stupid idea: There are more than two ideologies out there.

Ever thought of becoming "The third option" in the next election? (Assuming there is one).

The constitution's set up so that if I did that, my side would lose in spades.
