| | | It’s a sad commentary, but my gym had to post signs asking people not to urinate or spit in the showers.
As for sitting naked on a bench- it’s not my thing, but if you want to go for it. It’s no different than sitting on a toilet seat. (Actually the area I change in has no benches in it.)
As for pet peeves of mine- it’s people with no self-restraint. This group includes people who follow me in from a swim, pick a shower across from me and blatantly stare as well as people who don’t just comment, but carry on. (A few weeks ago it was 2 guys 16-18 yrs old who just couldn’t seem to shut up about it. Though they were not talking to me they were talking about me and I was only about 6 feet away.)

If you don't mind me asking what exactly were they saying about you??

| | | It started when one commented on the others being fairly large and that fellow said something along the lines of “yeah, but it’s not like that one” nodding in my direction. From there it just sort of continued. Nothing rude, and at first possibly even flattering, but after it went on for too long I just got friggin’ sick of it. I guess they are at the age where things are changing and discussions happen, but still, I just wanted to change, leave, and skip the running commentary. | | | |

| | | I gotta ask a question for you Str8 guys,
When a guy walks around the locker room naked, does your eyes ever gravitate to his cock by accident?
This happens to me sometimes and I feel so embaressed  . I usually don't realize what happened till after the fact. I don't wanna give anyone the wrong signal ( e.g. "how bout me and you step into the steam room Big Boy ;) )

Checking out what a guy looks like - including his cock - doesn't make you gay or anything. But, if you stare at him and then follow him inot the steam room........

| | | I personally think it's hard NOT to notice another guy's privates if he's naked in the shower. As long as you're not crossing the line into overt gawking/cruising, it certainly isn't a sign of homosexuality merely to observe another man's penis.

Steve | Yeah, its usually just a glance. Crusing guys is'nt my thing. My fear is if I glance at the wrong person ( a guy whose looking for action) and starts to follow me around.
All because of a innocent glance

| | | Nothing wrong with looking... In fact I am sure every guy does. It doesn't make you homosexual. I mean, just because I look at dogs doesn't mean I am into beastiality. It's human nature to look. :D | | | |

You have to keep your eyes open to avoid walking into walls and other people, and your gaze is bound to be met with a variety of things, body parts included. No one's going to think you're an ass pirate just because your line of vision pans past his schlong. If you drop to your knees and swallow his cock, however, his assumption might be different.

| | | I'm queer as a 3 dollar bill, but would still *look* at a woman if she were standing in front of me stark naked. ;) Its the same for straight guys I think. Look and notice, but it might not do much for you. Its maybe more a competitive thing. | | | |

| | | And if I even notice a casual glance at my crotch, you bet! I take that as an open invitation to knock the straight guy to the floor and have my way with him! Gay guys aren't like dogs (usually) and aren't going to start humping your leg for fuck's sake just because you glanced at his dick in a mixed naked-suitable setting!
Why are straight guys soooo afraid of being around naked gay guys? Is it threatening? Scares you? Please explain.

Why are straight guys soooo afraid of being around naked gay guys? Is it threatening? Scares you? Please explain. | I'm not sure I can explain it all. I know I can't explain it for all straight guys. But here's the deal from my point of view.
There's a kind of unequal balance of power. We're all naked. Fine. No problem with that. It we're all straight, everything is equal. here is no sexual energy at all.
But, if you introduce a gay man into the group, it changes the dymanic. The gay man has sex with other guys. I can speak for all stright guys on this. If you see a girl naked, you think about sex - period. I can't say that gay men all think about sex when they see a naked man, but suddenly the dyanamic becomes sexual. It's a one-sided sexual dynamic. It may very well be the straight guys who are creating sexual dynamic, but it's there.
Again, it's my take and I can't speak for all men - gay or straight. No judgement, just hope that helps explain it. Anyone else have any thoughts to add?

I'm not really focused on checking out guy's cocks when showering naked with others. If some guy has a cock hanging down to his knees then I might notice it. The thing that straight guys do is compare their bodies generally with one another. I've had many guys come up to me & make positive comments about my body & I'm appreciative of that. So I just say thanks. I've never had any guy make any comment about my dick. I have had guys stare at me on occasion but most people are respectful & just take their showers & maybe engaged in a little small talk.
I guess if you're interested in checking out cocks in the shower, then maybe you wouldn't have any control over your eyes. But if you just take a shower then your energy is just on that.

Do you think a heterosexual gynecologist gets a boner every time he sees a patient's vagina? No, because a gynecological exam is not a sexual experience. If I'm going to the gym, I'm going there to work out, not troll for cock. I might see a guy that I find attractive, but I'm not at the gym to look for attractive men. I can't speak for all men, but I don't find the lockerroom to be an erotic setting. Besides, you might not even be my type. If I'm not attracted to you and you're not attracted to me, where's the sexual dynamic?

| | | I hate to break it to all the straight guys, but you are most likely naked in the lockeroom every day with gay guys. We are everywhere. And really scary... what about the Bi guys, golly they must be trying to hump EVERYONE at the gym.
Sure, we may look at some appealing guy and think "now there's a hot fucker", but we certainly aren't going to rush over and offer to suck your cock. It's a thought....just like you seeing a hot woman and you think "boy I'd like some of that", but hopefully, you don't run over and jump her do you? Same thing.
And don't try to tell me straight guys don't sneak a peek standing at the urinal either.
