It seems that Schizophrenia usually surfaces at adolescence.
It's really sweet of you, Naughty, to set me at ease that way. I really wasn't concerned about the onset of emotional problems being at the root of this insomnia thing, but that same out-of-nowhere BANG!-type malady was the comparison that came to mind.

I had that whole thing on my mind anyway this week because a guy I know is in a bad way with his own emotional problems. Sudden onset of some serious troubles in his mid-to-late twenties and now he's going through shock treatments and, according to his family, almost out of medication options. It's really sad and has weighed on my mind a lot this week, so that's why that comparison jumped to mind so readily for me.

Thanks so much for your encouraging words!

As for spending so much time on the LPSG, I hear you! It's pretty all-consuming at times, isn't it? I'm choosing to chalk it up to the fact that I'm still new and still alive with the new thrill. Sound plausible to you guys? ;)

I was schizoid when I was a kid.

No I wasn't.

If you get detained by a cop for being slightly intoxicated and doing cartwheels in the middle of the street, what's the radio code for that?

(No, really. It happened to me last night.)

I offered 722.6. I don't know; it just sounds good to me.

Did you hear about the agnostic dyslexic insomniac?

He's up all night wondering if there's a dog.

(ba-da-bump!)

OK, I'm not the true Master of the Quip that is our friend Pecker, but I tried, right? :D

EDIT: Before anyone chooses to lecture me about the finer points of dyslexia, just relax. I know it's not that simple. This joke, however, is exactly that simple. :)

Then there was the dyslexic frat guy who went to the toga party dressed as a goat
...or the cop who was arrested for handing out I.U.D.'s
...and the devilworshipers who sold their souls to Santa
...or how about the trucker with the bumpersticker "Dog Is My Co-Pilot"
...and the old man who kept telling raft jokes
(somebody stop me!)
...then there's the dyslexic Jew who slaps his forehead and says, "Yo!"

all I can say to you pecker is *groan* :)

TAG, that story with your son was so cute, when my son was little, we used to get him to stand up in his highchair /booster seat to clean him off after meals...and we'd get ito the whole "will the real slim shady please stand up" and he'd dance :)

*note to self* need to spend more time at LPSG, to many new threads are way to fun to pass up

Changing the subject, but I just have to ask.....am I the only one just a little creeped out by the talking baby with the bartone voice in the Quizno's sub commercials?

I think that is Ken Campbell, a comedic actor that was the voice of the baby in that TV show that lasted a week or two. He has a distinctive voice, and I've seen him in some movies. He is much bigger than a baby!

LapDog :9 :P :9
