Mine tastes like freshy backed cinnamon buns on a warm summer morning in a feild of blossoms around a babbling brook with a hint of lemon.

For years I was reluctant to taste my semen. But my wife really loves it and eats
it all the time. So finally I took the leap and tasted it - not bad, sort of bland witha bit of salt. I have found if you eat pineapple the taste becomes sort of sweet and the odor of Chlorex is eliminated. So now when I jack off I always eat my load.

Personally I"ve never noticed anything metallic, it's just kind of bland and salty, at least most of the time, with something distinctive, that doesn't really taste like anything else.

It probably won't be the best thing you ever tasted, definitely won't be the worst. I suspect you'll feel a little silly about your apprehension after you've tried it. It's really no big deal.
