And wouldn't we have tons more members here (no pun intended) Who knows, maybe people only see the bigger ones, because it seems a lot of people who are above average have less inhibitions about showing it off, therefore there would be more opportunities to see the bigger ones, making people think the average now is what used to be above average. Theres really no sure-fire way to know whether the average has gotten bigger unless everyone walks around naked with a hard-on.

Actually the Walrus has the largest penis when talking porportions. The average walrus has a penis which is 3/4 of it's total body length.

I've always been jealous of the elephant, however, because they have muscles in their penis much like their trunks. Imagine what the ladies would think of that, regardless of how big you were :blink:

I honestly could care less about seeing any animals' penis unless it is a human one. :P Not that it's not fascinating and all but I guess it's just not my thing.

I think yaoifun has got it right. Surveys of adult penises haven't shown any increase, and I doubt teens have changed drastically physically just recently. But what has changed is that guys at school no longer are required to shower nude together, and no longer get changed for swimming etc as openly. Therefore they lose contact with a real average, and only see the guys who show it off or at least don't hide it, who are mostly the hung guys. I think there is a more competitive spirit around now too, which makes the smaller guys ashamed and they take extra care to hide it.

So I think, Briandude, if the guy next to you had been small, he probably wouldn't have let you see. He might well have avoided the urinals altogether. And huge, does everyone in your school shower, or do some avoid it?

Sure. And once when I was severely drunk, a gang of girls pulled my pants down (I guess 'pantsed' me). Luckily there was nothin to be ashamed of hehe, and back then I didnt know I was all that big, I just liked playin with myself hehe. Hate havin my pants pulled down though...unless it's gonna lead to somethin hehe.

steve_w: I think the biggest reason why teenagers, and skinny people in general are seen as having larger penises is because they don't have a lot of fat to cover it up. Imagine a post stuck in the sand at the beach. The post could be 6 feet tall, but along comes a storm and washes in a lot of sand. The post then only looks to be 3 feet tall.

Same thing happens when someone puts on a bit of weight as they grow older. A skinny teenager will look pretty big without any fat around it to cover up the base of the shaft, and because his body is skinnier, the girth also looks bigger round in comparason to the rest of his body

You're right steve. I probably look a bit bigger than I am since I only weigh 140-145 and I'm 5'11". Once my metabolism finally ends up in the gutter after I get older, things will definitely change.

i am by no means huge, but big, and i disagree that all teens are hung. my friends are very open about things and they talk all the time. well one friend of ours told everyone he was 7", and noone believed him. the rest of my buddys were talking about it for days and didnt believe him one bit. ive never told them what i am so th ey wouldnt give me a hard time bout it. ive heard of and seen some really small ones on teens too...

I think steve w came up with the right idea....they are not getting bigger, it just seems that way, because nothing is in the way (like fat). If evolution or natural selection were going to make dicks noticeably bigger with each generation don't you think they would all be huge now? Humans have been here for thousands of years...

give me a break. ineligible's post is right on. others have mentioned this but humans have been around for a very long time, and there's a 0% chance that the human penis has growing larger during the last 1% of humans' existence. get over it.

i think people bring up posts like this because they get off on talking about it. 90 percent of men fall within the "average" range. that has not changed for decades, and won't.

btw if this "finding" were correct maybe boxers have something to do with it? when you wear boxers you hang looser and most teens wear boxers lately.
