Well my dick is 5" soft and can probably sneak to near 7" semi hard and appear soft to some people. Lots of people do judge on flaccid size just to assure themselves or make themselves happy. Before I came here I never knew there was such a thing as a 'grower' or at least not to the extent seen here. I can also honestly say I've never seen a penis that I thought was small, most seemed about the same and a few were big. Of course I havent seen all that many penises, mostly at swimming baths...

Different poeple will view this differently. I think hanging huge when soft can be erotic for some people. There is a reason. Most guys with micro penises go to great lengths to keep other guys from seeing them in the nude. I didn't realize how small some adult penises can be until I visited the Getting Aong with a Small Penis site. I think that is the name of it. I was surprized to see how small some penises are both soft and erect. There are guys with less than three inches erect penises. They have major emotional issues as a group.

And I thought I was small because all Isaw were the showers in high school and the playgirl magazines. And that is what is happening to our teen boys. The only peniss they see are porn stars. Many of them have never seen a penis other than their own. So over at the small penis forum the teens come and complain how small they are and will they grow some more and they are 6 or 6.5 inches long and they are concerned they are small. The media they see has them convinced that all guys are 8 inches long and if you are not then you are small.

I don't know what the answer to that is. That is another thread. But flaccid length can reallly concern young teens more than erect sizes. Later when they are sexually active then the concern changes for obvious reasons.

i think that site's called "getting through life with a small penis" i visited it a few times because I was curious as to how people with less than average penis' coped with it in a world where it seems if you arent 8+ then there's something wrong with you. I honestly dont see the problem with having a small dick, its only like a woman with small tits, if you love them enough something stupid like that shouldnt bother you. Maybe I'm a weirdo, but I really don't like flaccid penises of any size very much. I mean, I like them fine, but I know very well that they're no indication of erect size. In the vast majority of cases, erect penises don't vary that greatly in size. Sure, here on lpsg they do, but amoung nearly 85 to 90% of men, they are going to be betweem 5 to 6.5" and that's just the facts. I find a hard dick far more arousing because it looks ready for action! To me a flaccid penis looks disinterested.

Believe it or not, there are still plenty of people (especially women) who don't know that flaccid size is not an indicator of erect size. I've witnessed several women saying that they can tell how big a guy's dick is just from the bulge in his pants! I've only corrected one, who happened to be a good friend. I relate very well to what you've said in the above quotes I selected. I am very near your age and apparently grew up observing the same kinds of things you did in high school locker room settings. Back then, I also kept noticing other guys who were much bigger in their flaccid dimensions than I was and those images left indelible impressions and dang near impossible "standards" (or so I thought!) for me to ever live up to! So, I also shied away from ANY settings requiring changing clothes around other guys...period. Consequently, I avoided sports, was socially "inactive" (compared to others) and in retrospect----just "missed out on living". A real shame and a waste of an otherwise wonderful period of my life.
I watched others (guys my age) dating; enjoying a period of life of emotionally maturing into manhood while I on the other hand sat in the sidelines absolutely convinced I couldn't "measure up". That agony is something I just wish I could spare other guys...especially the teenagers. It's why this forum is so important I think. Flaccid size is important. And, it's misunderstood, too. Way too much erroneous thinking out there in the world that larger flaccid sizes always translate into "whopper" erect sizes. Fact is , many of these larger soft sizes are really "semi erect ones" but that truth too, is so often NOT known. The younger guys in high school wonder of course, but they don't ask and they're scared to ask or make remarks. And really....WHO would they ask? When they are erect, they become much more similar. The foreskin pulls back, so cut & uncut look similar. (in most cases & from a distance) There's usually a curve of some sort, and variations in size minimise.

my flacid size was always decent and i had done most of my growing down there by 14yr old. The rest of me was still skinny and not masculine but my flacid cock was 6" with 9" erection. It's interesting just how competitive males are. The more I read about this topic and start getting ready for the spring, the more I notice it.
