There's a big difference between what gets a man hard and who a man wants to fuck.
I think that a man can be 100% straight in preference (prefers only women for sex), but not 100% heterosexual in orientation.
There's a difference, by the way, between "sexual preference" and "sexual orientation." Look it up.
A lot of men like to see big penises. Period. Being a man, in most cases, means being attracted to one's penis and to the ones considered to be "ideal." If a dude can get hard over his own penis, I'm sure he could get hard over someone else's, too, particulary the more "ideal" ones you see in porn.
I find it bizarre to what great lengths men will go to show their distaste for the male body and the penis, but yet sit with their buddies during a porno and exclaim "Wow, he's a hung stud"!
Supposedly, in American culture, to declare one's heterosexuality as a man is to show one's aversion to the male body and penis. If that's the case, then why don't most men get repulsed by their own penises and bodies? Why do they work out? Want to look handsome? Build muscles? Be bodybuilders? And last but not least, want to watch pornos with monster cocks?
It all begs these questions:
1)Why are "big dicks" so celebrated in heterosexual porn if they're just "necessary" props? 2)Why don't men just watch lesbian porn if they are so turned off by the male physique and other penises? 3)Why don't men get turned off in general from the own penises when they masturbate (well, some may
)? 4)Why do men worry about their size of their penises and other men's?
I almost forgot to mention the "Fuck my wife/Bang my wife" niche in porn. Isn't that genre really about a man getting off on another dude's studly image to some degree? Sure, he probably wants to see the hot woman's body and imagine having sex with her, but is that all that he's thinking while viewing?
Finally, for culture's sake, we will say just about anything to not be affiliated with the things that are most taboo in our culture.
