just how large is a large penis?

We can measure length and girth, and not get a good understanding. I think I may have found a good estimation. Since an erect penis is a roughly cylindrical shape, we can measure it's volume with a simple formula.

Height x Area of circle. Aread of circle = (pi)r^2

I am going to compare an average penis to one typically called large.

Average: 6" long and 1.5" thick
Large: 8" long and 2" thick

Average volume: Height = 6", r = 1.5"/2 or 3/4"

this equals 3 and 3/8(pi) cubic inches. Not bad

Average volume: Height =8", r=2"/2 or 1"

this equals 8(pi) cubic inches. whoa.

It turns out that the large penis is more than twice the size of the average one. Plug in your own numbers to see how you measure up.

Thickness? I thought you could only do girth...and the average girth for a penis is 4.84" or something...so a 1.5" thick one would be rare, even if it was 1.5" around or 3" around, whichever way you look at it.

Anyway, I like to think I'm bigger than average, not large though. I think all you can really say is average, below average and above average, that's best. I can't check your formula since my maths skills are non existent.

And if the penis were a perfect cylinder, that would be nice.

I personally kinda like the idea of surface area, since that tells how much skin your penis can stimulate.

How large is large? Easy to find in the USA. 16-16 1/2:

x-small small medium LARGE x-large xx-large xxx-large, etc.


Seriously, if your significant other is a virgin, you are as large as you want to be.

How large is large, aks you? How about large enough to make you pass out from loss of blood to your brain. On the other hand for the ladies, faint from the sight of sight.

The theory fails on the fact that a penis is not a perfect cylinder...how many penes are out there that are perfectly round? Mine is not. The ones in the gallery are not. The ones I've seen in porn are not. The handful that are on my friends that I've jacked off with are not. It's a nice idea, but doesn't work out in reality.
