Background info: I had my left testicle removed when I was about 15 because of a small, hard lump. At first they thought it was cancer, but the biopsy a week after the surgery determined it was a harmless epidermoid cyst.

About a month after my surgery, I started to notice that on occasion, after a more enjoyable ejaculation, I would suddenly become incontinent for a half hour or so. At first I thought I had a bladder infection (and got antibiotics from the doc for it) because I felt a fairly intense burning sensation when I peed, but eventually I realized it was burning because I was having to hold in my pee by clenching my dick -- I could not control the flow otherwise.

This has happened on and off (about once a month) ever since then, for the past four years. I have tried my best to ignore it, rationalize it ("maybe I'm masturbating too much!!"), and put it out of my mind, but today when I had to sit on the toilet for practically 45 minutes just because I couldn't control my pee, I realized that I need to do something about it.

It usually only happens when I masturbate twice or more in a short span of time -- almost never happens when I just do it once a day.

I suspect it's something wrong with my prostate, but I'm not sure.

I suspect it's related to my surgery...but I'm not sure.

Has anyone else had this happen to them, and can someone please offer me advice? I'd like to just go to my doctor, but she is a lady doctor and I would feel uncomfortable discussing it with her.

Seriously get your doctor to refer you to a specialist. I had recurring bouts of prostitis (I think that is the way it is spelled) and I worried about it and the GP tried a few things but it was the specialist that solved the problem

Four years and you haven't picked up on the fact that a doctor might be able to help?? Get your ass up, pick up your phone, call your doctor, and hit the floor running. Otherwise we night not hear from you again.

Alright, alright!! I'll call my doctor. I guess I was just hoping someone would say something like, "You just need to make your ejaculations stronger," or something silly like that.

No, but if I had that would be my first guess for the problem.

At your age this is not normal. See an urologist and stop worrying about it. You have tried to ignore it, but how many times in a day do you grap you your penis to piss or jerk off? You simply can't ignore problems like this. You shouldn't be ashame to see a ladydoctor. You're not the first man she sees. Wish you all the best, hope it will be a minor problem.

Dude, I've not had a problem like yours, but I have had an issue with my prostate. During a brief period in my early 30s, my GP discovered during my yearly physical that my prostate was enlarged. Okay, you have no way of knowing this yourself, only your doc can tell after he gives you prostate massage (not the most enjoyable of experiences). Anyway, he didn't seem alarmed, and said we'll just keep an eye on it. So I had it checked every month or so for awhile and then it just went back to normal. Haven't had a problem since and am now 44. Also in my early 30s, I began to noticed that after I pissed, and squeezed afew times to all of it out, I'd zip up and say, go wash my hands. Then I'd just involcuntarily flex my groin muscles cause I felt something building up in there, and a small stream of piss came out into my underwear. Well this kept happening for awhile and I started to really be concerned. I mean up till a few weeks before, when I peed and squeezed, all of it was out, every drop. Now I was dribbling every time I pissed. So I went to my GP, told him the story and he said it's just what happens as you get older. Those muscles don't stay as strong as tthey once were and it's no big deal. YOu're just gonna have to learn to live with it and take a few extra minutes at the urinal to try to get as much of it out as possible. WElll this was like 14 years ago, and the problem has diminshed somewhat. NOrmally I get most of it out, sometimes not and it's a surprise to halfway piss my pants after I've already gone. So, either it's gotten better or I've just accepted it as the way things are. We're all gonna get older. However, I concur with the other members. Go see your GP to start and go from there. Until you know, you're just gonna drive yourself nuts wondering. 19 is too young to be deailng with this shit. Take it seriously. Peace.

Definitely see your doctor and don't worry about it being a lady doctor, she won't be bothered by your problem. I am less embarassed talking to a woman than a man.

Some good news!

I finally talked to my doctor, and he told me it wasn't anything to worry about. He said the insatiable urge to pee was being caused by a certain nerve (wish I knew the name) that goes down my chest and controls basic instincts -- like, holding back the pee in my bladder.

He said that since this happened so rarely and my urine tests never showed up with anything out of the ordinary, it couldn't be anything serious. I asked him if he was sure of that since it started happening so soon after my surgery, but he explained to me that testicular surgery was so simple virtually anyone could do it; he said unless they did the procedure with a sledgehammer, there was no way they could have caused damage to the widely-separated urethra or other organs from the incision site. Remembering that my incision was only about an inch across, I was satisfied with that answer.

He said to help control the problem when it does happen, I could try rubbing the carotid artery in my neck or putting a cold washcloth on my face.

Unfortunately, this doesn't help poor apollo in another thread who is having similar symptoms happen after every ejaculation. :(
