I love the idea! I say you put somthing formal together and pitch the idea to Showtime or HBO. Think of all the new subscribers they'd get.
By the way, if it's American Idol of Cocks, then the contestants can only be from the U.S. I think each country should have their own contest and then have a World Idol of Cocks with all of the winners from each country. Great idea man!
But the show? Damn right! It could be like Big Brother US, UK, Spain, Brazil, Hungary, etc. They're all locked up for a month and the biggest prevails ... :)

BTW, I don't know if English is mandatory in Danish schools, but having learned several languages at high school level and beyond, I think it's incredibly difficult to do puns effectively in a non-native language.
