I don't feel so united when I go to the Hippo or Grand Central or most other gay bars in Balmer not named Leon's and the other Black gay men look at me and my partner with venom (presumably because he is a white bear). This has been my same experience in any bar with a large black crowd in any city I have been in.

I love all people and I have a very diverse group of friends. I do get tired of the venom from my own communities, however. It's tiresome and counter-productive.
