parents having sex

The foundation under my parents' mattress when I was very young was one of those old, exposed spring things. Lying on a mattress on one of those things you couldn't scratch your ass without squeeking.

There were four of us kids. I was the oldest so I heard it for years.

That squeek squeek squeek squeek late at night put me to sleep - and it was comforting in another way.

It meant they weren't fighting.

Such a good point pecker, If I suddenly stopped hearing my mom have sex, that's when something is wrong, she has a healthy sex life, and if she suddenly stopped everything, I'd know something was wrong.

Like you said, it should be a comforting thing to know your parents love each other.

Yes, Footlong, in the context of a loving relationship it should be comforting to know your parents love each other. However, sometimes there is such a thing as TMI, and for some of us when childhood is not idyllic, as Lovegirl and I discussed privately last night, those sounds can be downright dreadful.

My mother having sex.....aggggghhhhhh.....that's a mental image I could have done without....kind of like having the theme song to "It's a Small World" at Disneyland stuck in your head. :blink:

I honestly can't ever remember any sounds or sights of sex between my parents when I was younger .... maybe thats why my mom cheated on my dad all those years.

@ Madame_Zora - I apology if it ever seems like im bragging about my closeness, and my openness, with my mom. I put my imput into certain threads, and sometimes have a hard time understanding how others deal without such closeness. The hearing parents having sex issue is definitly a touchy subject.

Honey, why on earth should you feel bad about having a great relationship with your mom? I am sure most of the folks here are happy for you that you can be so open with your parent. I am sure no one sees you as bragging.

When I was 16 my mom moved out and gave me the house and everything in it, ten years later I sold the house and as I took apart her old dresser to move it I found a long forgotten stash of........POLORIODS!!!!! OH THE HORROR OF IT ALL!!!! and it wasn't my father in the pictures with her.


I am going to bury this memory deep in my psyke once again and hope it forever remains there.
