But let's not kid ourselves into believing that any couple (gay or straight) could raise 100 children through fostering because they're not there for 16 years. they most certainly DID raise these children. maybe not long-term, but the children received much more than food and care. one man actually overcame a fear of horses to teach them horseback riding because they know being around animals is positive for RAISING children. again, it may not have been very long in some cases, but these children were certainly being raised.
