Why do so many people wear these things all the time? I can't stand it; it always draws attention to their feet, and that's something I DO NOT want to look at as i'm walking past you. Generally, It confuses and infuriates me to see people dressed like they've just gotten back from the beach, even though there isn't one around for hundreds of miles. I didn't start noticing this trend until the summer of 2007.

Does anybody know why the hell this happened? If so, is there anything I can do to stop it?
