I've only done it twice. Each time was on a deserted interstate highway on a cross-country trip back in the '80s. It was strictly for relief and no other motorist could see. Now that I'm older, I'd wait until I stopped at a motel for the night. As many posters have pointed out, driving should not be a multi-tasking activity.
