i agree becoming. some people take extremes on the board, if someone has a differing opinion of abortion, they become "HATED" by the other side. i think that, this being the internet, it offers immediacy. you can read 2 sentences from someone and make astronomical assumptions about that person, when you may have a friend who has the same views as the person you hate, but your friend has the benefit of catching you at a different time and place. fast-food, the internet, and cars have taught us that everything is expected NOW NOW NOW and we can make blanket statements and decisions NOW NOW NOW rather than taking the time to develop an understanding of someone else. |
