Kissing usually invovles a connection on an emotional level as opposed to other sexual acts which can be just that, sexual acts. Some people believe that whether you are gay or straight is dictated by who you love, not who you fuck. By that standard, kissing would be the breaking point. Not saying I necesarily agree or disagree with this view, just putting that out there.
