Yes, I read many of my sister's, and her friend's romance novels... and I would say 75% of them had a rape scene. And it was rape. And many times, the woman would actually end up falling in love with her rapist/captor. It was quite shocking to me, and made me feel uncomfortable, and not in the good way.

I also noticed her friend had "dog tagged" all the rape scenes, in all the books.

But there is no doubt about it, its rape. In fact, many times, it is not even written as being pleasurable for the woman.
