I started out as a John Edwards supporter. When he dropped out I started supporting Obama. If he did not get the nomination then I would still vote for Hillary even though I have strong reservations on how she has chosen to conduct her campaign. Ultimately, I will vote for a Democrat in the White House simply because of two words:

Supreme Court

Our next president will probably choose at least 2, if not more, Supreme Court justices. McCain has already promised to stack the deck with even more judges who are Far Right. This country simply cannot afford a Supreme Court that is made up almost exclusively of members of the Right Wing Conservative Movement. You think things are bad now? Just wait until 4 more years of McSame.

Now is not the time to pout and cry that your first choice of the Democrats didn't make it.

As for the person WAAAY back on the first page stated that Obama stayed in a "homophobic" (among other things) church. You're way off base. The United Church of Christ was the first denomination ever to ordain openly gay men and lesbians. They are the only Chrsitian denomination who have chosen on a national level to support gay marriage. The UCC has a LONG history of fighting for social justice in support of minorities, including African Americans, Women, and the GLBT Community. In fact, the 2nd largest congregation in the UCC is a predominantly GLBT church in Dallas (Obama's congregation is the largest). So whatever you think of Wright and his poor choice of words, and however you want to take his words out of context, I find it hard to say that Obama belongs to a "homophobic" church.
