Apparently, Clinton has won the independent and blue collar workers, along with the hispanic and white women vote. All of these are mandatory for a general election. Obama cannot win a general election.
And this lays the problem.
If your decision is based on the issues, such as Abortion, The Economy, The War, etc... and you support Clinton or Obama... then there's no logical explanation as to why you'd would support McCain because his stance is almost the exact opposite as Obama and Clinton. Everything else is trivial.

Extreme Hillary supporters talk about Obama's lack of experience. Experience doesn't always spell out knowledge and it also doesn't mean that the person with the most of it will always get it right. Some people can learn and adapt to situations better than others. The fact that Obama has been elected into office shows that he has more knowledge on the subject matter than anyone of us.

Extreme Obama supporters talk about how Hillary is not trustworthy and lies. Well, EVERY politician lies and tells half truths on certain issues. I know many otaku on this board have belittled me on this topic (and I won't mention any names for I know some of them will be on this thread in a heartbeat to try and bash me), but there's no such thing as a completely "trustworthy candidate". You're ultimately picking a liar over a fibber, or voting for someone that tells tales. This doesn't mean that making a choice is hopeless nor does it mean that your choice is completely at random. It means that we all have to see what these "lies" are all about and see which ones really do affect you. Does the idea of Presidential Blow Jobs make you run to the other candidates? Or how about fabricated stories that get a nation involved in an unpopular war? Maybe you're upset at where some of the funds for one's campaign are really coming from? In the end, it's all "politics as usual" bullshit, and you'll either allow yourself to get all wrapped up into it or move on. Choosing between Obama & Clinton based sorely on trust & faith is like choosing a chicken wing from KFC over one from Popeye's. They both may be seasoned differently, but underneath the flaky coating they're both the same thing.

"Not voting" because your favorite didn't win doesn't make you an independent thinker, nor does it send any kind of message to congress. Even if you decide to go hide under a rock and pout all because your one and only choice didn't get this far, someone you hate is going to get into office anyhow and will fuck things up. So, you'd better choose the candidate who will fuck it up less.

The one thing you can count on with Republicans is that the majority of them stand behind their candidate, regardless of who gets the nomination. That's because they know with a Republican in office, they have a better chance at seeing some of their needs taken care of. People who voted for Romney or Huckabee are going to support McCain in November because they know that Obama or Clinton does not share their political views. People who support either one of the Democratic candidates need to get over their hatred over the other and support the one that actually does win. If you truly believe that Obama is the best candidate for President or if you believe Hillary is, voting for McCain makes NO sense whatsoever.

That is, unless you're a hardcore Popeye's consumer and have a personal vendetta against people who eat at KFC.
