I personally find porn to be degrading for all the reasons you listed plus more.
I would much rather read or see good erotica. Have had lovers in the past that I would read from Anne Rice's erotica written under the pseudonym of Anne Rampling, Fanny Hill, etc. Those are much more of a turn on for me.
