College degrees are specialised and focused so generally they aren't a good indication of general knowledge or overall intelligence. They only tell you what a person knows about a certain specific field. However, there is an entry requirement to most if not all college courses so there has to be at least a base level of intelligence for someone to be accepted onto a college course.

But...

did you know that in Ancient Greece, epilepsy was first studied by Hippocrates (The Father of Medicine) and he called it the Sacred Disease.

Also, Native Americans were originally the Inuit (eskimos) that walked across the ice when the continents were still joined by said ice. They settled in America.
