I understand your analogy to the Grand Theft Auto videogame, although what I am talking about is a bit different. Let's look at it like this, it's not easy for straight guys to get laid. Many straight guys experience sex through porn--that's accessible when actual sex isn't. If porn then becomes the sole or primary sexual experience of many men, then they become educated by that porn--they start to believe that's how sex is and that's how women want to or should be treated. Just because you are 18 or older doesn't mean that you are mature or sensible. Men 18-22 are most likely to die by their own lack of maturity and lack of sensibility, sociologists even have a name for it, the "accident hump". Porn drives male fantasies and you only need to read threads and listen to guys to know that this is true. Guys know that scenes in porn are fake, but not necessarily the sex--the sex actually happens so it is quite real.
This is different than GTA. GTA is a videogame that everyone knows is a videogame. It's pure fantasy in every aspect. Guys don't play GTA and learn how to drive a car or shoot up a place or deal drugs. They don't pick up tricks and ideas about how to operate in the real world by playing GTA. Some guys who watch porn do pick up this stuff and try to use or it reinforces their thoughts about women. You're 20 and you've hung around guys when women aren't around, if you don't know what I'm talking about, I'd be shocked.
Porn doesn't turn all men into monsters, but let's not pretend that some of it is not degrading to women and to men or that it doesn't have an effect on some people.
