I'd second that emotion. I can't self-suck anymore, but when I was 13 I figured out I could do it when I balanced on my shoulders with my back and hips above me against the headboard. As I got older (and my chest and shoulders broadened and thickened, I was less and less able to make the stretch. But even back then, head from another man or woman always trumped what I was able to do for myself. I'm sure it was as much about the idea that someone else getting off on my tool (which is still a major joy for me) as much as it was the difference in sensation.
