Here is my thinking on it all:

Most women want to be wanted and appreciated. We want you to see us at our worst and know that you'll stick around. We want to feel some sort of adoration and appreciation. You may have to ask each one of us how to show us this as none of us are exactly alike.

I like getting random messages (texts, pms, ims, emails, etc.) to know that I'm being thought about... to know that in the middle of someone's hectic, hectic day they thought about me enough to pick up their phone and say so.

I also like pleasing my partner so I may do somethings that aren't my favorites... but if he does the same, life will be good. I also expect enough respect that if they want something I'm against, they'll be okay with that. I'd really like a guy to buy me a MacLaren, but I understand that most guys really don't want to do that. :)
