I just fail to see what makes them "look dumb" even if you are not trying to indicate intelligence.
they are being photographed while performing live, and such the camera is catching them as they move, blink, reposition, listen to a director, and do various things.
as i said above...sex is something that generally makes people look a bit dumb when they are doing it.
