| Seeing Joe - Part 1 JD: Seeing Joe
I remember this like it was yesterday. My parents had taken the family camping and I got to invite Joe to come with us, as there were no other guys my age for me to hang around with in our group. At the end of a long, great summer day, we were exhausted, and went to bed in our sleeping bags in a tent close to the beach. Everyone else opted to put their tents closer to the assigned campsites further up the hill.
We got out of our clothes. Joe was in his familiar boxers and a t-shirt and I got into a swimming suit that I knew I would be wearing tomorrow. We got in to our sleeping bags and settled down. I heard and felt Joe move around again, so I figured he must have to take care of business as I got used to him doing. All was quiet for a while, except for occasional rustling and repositioning and I figured the day was over. I said to him, "Night little bro". I never had a brother, but he was the closest thing to it as it could come. He was almost one year my junior to the day.
I heard him laughing and I asked him, "What's so funny?"
He said, "Little bro", and continued laughing.
I couldn't figure him out, and I told him, "Well you are like my little brother aren't ya?"
He laughed louder, almost hysterical, and turned on the flashlight.
I again asked him, "What?" I turned over to see what he was laughing at and why he had turned the flashlight on. What I saw was funny, but turned out not to be at all what I had expected. It looked to me as if Joe had taken one of my Dad's large screwdrivers and stuck it up his shirt. The effect made it look like he had a huge bulge coming from his crotch up his shirt past his belly button as he lay on his back uncovered by his sleeping bag.
I laughed and as I turned back to my bed I said, "Yeah right, you wish."
He laughed more.
I was laughing along with him, but I was also curious and thinking to myself, 'What if? Surely not...but what if?' As he continued to laugh I got the nerve to call his bluff knowing to myself that he really was just projecting his wishes at the same time making me laugh. I decided I would just grab Dad's screwdriver and then stick it up my shirt so I could once again be the "big brother" and get another laugh. |
