I think I posted in the newer rimming thread that while I have generally enjoyed rimming past girlfriends, I'm much more uptight about having it done to me. I tend to assume (I'm sure this is a wrong assumption in some cases) that she's thinking that since I did it to her, she has to reciprocate. Which isn't the case - I do things in bed because I enjoy doing them and/or because I want to make her feel good. I don't believe in quid pro quo sex, unless one person is always taking and the other person is always giving.

To answer your second question - I have never had a discussion with my male friends about rimming. would be their reaction, I think. I can only speak for myself here. I've been fortunate (if that's the right word) enough to live out a few of my wilder fantasies over the past 3 years or so. I understand the HIV risk is much lower when it comes to oral sex as opposed to intercourse, so I suppose it's a risk people are willing to take when it comes to oral sex. Personally, I make sure I get to know the person, ask questions if things are moving quickly, and if I'm in any doubt at all, I'll get tested a suitable length of time afterwards.
