Where did those come from? That Hedi Slimane comment?

It should be made aware that many European guys can fit into those specs, but for American men it's considered unhealthy.

Even though the modeling world looks for men who are at the small end of "skinny" many of them are healthy and not emaciated at all. Specific designers such as Hedi Slimane look for that "Pete Doherty" looking guy to reflect the nature of their collections. It's just a preferance and has nothing to do with the state of the average person.

We can clearly see that the majority of the average consumers and many American labels don't follow the trend of the European designers.
