Hairy vs. non-hairy

LABearz: Hey guys, new-ish member to this great forum. Have a question I've always wondered about that I haven't seen touched on here yet. More of a theory, actually...

I've seldom if ever seen a super hairy guy with a super big penis. Seems like the bigger it is, the smoother the guy is. (John Holmes being a great example.) My theory is that in puberty, testerone either goes in the direction of producing excess body hair or penis size, but seldom if ever both. Granted, there will be the stray exception, but for the most part (and believe me, I've been "researching" this for many years ;) ) this has been my observation. Never seen a hirsute gorilla with a big ole schlong.

Any thoughts?

I'm only about 6 inches or so, but got hair on the base on my dicks and quite hairy balls. :-[

Well, it's not so much 'where testosterone goes' (a typical AOL theory) as it is your genes. But I can take your half-assed theory and turn it into a genius theory with just a little bit of evolutionary rephrasing, relating to female promiscuity as opposed to polygyny. Sadly, like all evolutionary theories, this one only works for populations. (In fact, I can support it best by looking at other primates.)

The male 'primates' in my family are very hairy and hung. *Either we're complete anomalies or more typical than LABearz thinks.

The theory I have about hair on the body is that, in most cases, bald headed men have very hairy bodies and hairy headed men tend to have smooth bodies. The dick theory is interesting, however.

We are opposites then. At age 47 I still have all my scalp hair. Never had much body hair. Large penis and miniscule testicles.

I'm sure that if you look around, you can find all possible combinations of the above traits. There are plenty of bald men with little body hair, but the real gorillas do seem to tend to be bald.

drrionelli: Your reference to the late John Holmes does, indeed, remind one that, often, those who perform in pornographic endeavours (as well as those whose aesthetic sensibilities might erstwhile be compromised) have been known to shave their other body parts (as well as their genitalia) to be more "camera friendly" so to speak.

Again, some, but, surely, by no means, all.

Isn't the human experience priceless! And where else but LPSG can we put into words thoughts that have nagged us for years.

I've often associated extremely hairy bodies with early baldness, also. Also, it seems to me in many cases, the wavy or curly hair seems to leave the scalp earlier than straight hair. Maybe its because i've always admired and wanted curly hair with body and have been looking for some trait that helps my feelings of being deprived of it. Who knows.

ORCABOMBER: I'm quite hairy (even if my brother mocks my shoulder hair) I'm proud of it, and I'm reasonably hung.

Saying that, if you're shaved, it looks bigger.

Ron Jeremy looks like what happened to primates the exact moment they evolved into man.

Myself, I like to be eclectic about it, because some women like the hair, then some don't. Then again, in the summer, *I remain full torso follicle free just to keep reasonably cooler. But, I still retain my dimensions irregardless. ;)

Except that gorillas have these really tiny penises, as do chimps.

First of all there will be exceptions to every theory so the fact that there are hairy hung guys doesnt discount LABearz' observation.
I too have seen hairy hung guys BUT too generalize most of the younger guys I have seen who seem to get hit by an early pubertal hair wave(-legs, chest and belly-) dont seem to be particularly well hung. Maybe early bloomers are most affected by the either hair or hung alternative
