Prior to accepting bisexuality as part (a very insignificant part in comparison to everything else about me, but a part nonetheless) of my life, I think I perfectly fit the mold being described in the first post. I was at one point exclusively heterosexual, had my thrills with women and enjoyed it very much, but didn't mind coming opportunities to get together with another guy and do some mutual masturbation so long as it was consensual.

Truth be told, I think past experiences have really shaped what I'm into with men. Most of us are not homophobic. A phobia is a fear of something. I am not scared of homosexuals. I think the word homophobic is really a misnomer.

blak9: Honestly, I don't think there is a correct word for this. Many people often say homophobic for lack of a beter word. Actually, I might be in the minority on this...

ifwinterends: actually. the dictionary definition of homophobia mentions contempt. which is far different from fear, and leans more towards hate (if you ask me). being a homosexual black (not fully, but part) male, i've come in contact with MANY homophobic heterosexual black males.

A lot of str8 black men think gay black men are trying to be white. They are partially right; the gay/str8 dichotomy is largely of northern European origin, and gender roles are largely defined by culture. Of course, they then go into the Western gender roles.
