That is correct. Rob_E also talked about opening a new sub-fora just for gallery pics and links, though nothing ever came of it. As I recall for a while we did move all the "pic" posts to the New Member sub-fora, but over time we quit doing it. I don't think it was a deliberate decision. It just happened.
I am very much in favor of the concept of a sub-fora for gallery pics and allowed links. Creating a sub-fora may be easier said than done. To me, this is the single most important change to the *"layout" of the LPSG that is needed.
*"layout" - The look of the page, number of forums etc. The way the technology works as we use the site.
