I have a huge argument with my friends' husband about this every other year or so. He maintains that to be happy a couple must be with in +/- 5 years of each other. I maintain that happy couples need to share the same or a similar moral/ethical/socioeconomic background. The few times I have tried dating beneath my class it has ended quickly and badly. Yes, that happend with both black and white men.
