It's been said in this thread, but not explicitly nor why, that other websites are better equipped to handle hook-ups. It's actually really simple.

I am an active member of Manhunt.net (which, on another message board I've been able to successfully recoin as "Mancunt") and use them pretty much exclusively for hooking up these days.

My reasons?

1) All my pervy eccentricities are laid out, easy to read, no surprises.
2) The HIV/condom thing is dealt with in black-and-white to a group of my peers.
3) I personally prefer a wide, generous ass and a small, uncut dick. Hunting on LPSG would be kind of a waste of time, non?
4) The pool of available bottoms on LPSG is minuscule compared to the variety available 24/7 on Mancunt.
5) When I want a hook-up it's now, not after you've secured great rates on your hotel reservation online.
6) No mess, no fuss, no history, no promises...
