Since they always say, "Oh you are SO hard" in such a pleased tone, I can gather that a rock hard erection is a psychological boost for women (men as well, i'm sure), but do you think it is a factor in soreness afterwards. Are there advantages to an erection that has a bit of "give" to it both to the squeeze and the shape, I'd imagine that there are.

I don't have much experience with penises but i'm just as rigid as they come, to flick it would be like to flick a kneecap. There's no jiggle, no flexibility, hell, it wont even point more than 45 degrees away from my body. It just seems that more often than not, I cause some soreness. Perhaps it's the positioning? I have never gotten sore from a guy who really gets hard except in one position.
