Also Rip Torn has a scene where he has his penis scrutinised by two girls (seperately),while they're looking each of them says "You know....you're not a bit like my father".
I don't think the implications of that sentence would have been missed by the censors.
Full frontal male nudity was still very rare in UK cinema at the time so to have two penises in one film guaranteed an X certificate.

I liked The Hunger too.I thought it was a different and stylish take of the vampire movie genre.
