live on the new cam4 - what do you think?

I have an idea!!! why not put an option of new site/old site on the homepage!!! like the old yahoo mail and the new yahoo mail. That would solve alot of our questions about reverting back to the old version.

How about letting us know when the site is to your satisfaction, then we'll shoot it down.

Sexyblack - It's difficult to run both sites with the same databases. We had to make a decision to move ahead with the new product or stick with the old one. At this point, it's good enough to go with and we feel significantly better than the old version.

Arrivaderciroma - Cam4 is never to my satisfaction. You go to the restaurant to eat but I work in the kitchen. I'm a bit anal and I have a huge list of things I want to see happen. But I only see it from one perspective. Your opinions and other viewpoints are important.

I like it from a broadcaster perspective (that the chatters have to at least make the effort to register and enter a gender) ... viewing is getting better, but from that perspective I would like to see a "most popular" option available.

JC8 - agree with a most popular. Not sure how to define popular or display it. We already list the cams with the most viewers first. This would make the catagory lists sorted by the most popular at the time. Also you now have a favorites (for cams) and friends (for viewers) which will display a message when they are online and list them in the user list, so you can quickly go to your favorites.

I think I was the first person to bring Cam4 to LPSGs attention. It is a great free sight.

Unfortunately since it has changed it is much more difficult to use.

Its not as clear and cams don't come up half the time.

If I was new to the site, I probably would have given up by now.

But knowing how good it was, I will perservere with the teething problems and hope it gets back to it's previous high standard.

I wish Cam4 would add a size rating system...
It would make it easier to find the big boys!

Not lov'n the new cam4 not returning. the old version was Sweet.

It is slowwwwwww pictures takes forewer to load and some cam does not load at all. Only good thing is some of the new features like makin a fav list.

Hi Cam4Guy are paying member allowed to advertise their own site and advertice for payed cam shows?

The new cam4 site does not work good, it's very bad. It's so slow and most often the pictures does not show up. The broadcasts won't show.
The older cam4 was way much better.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you guys. We have been working trying to fix the many problems with the new cam4. We believe we have fixed the images loading slowly in the directory somewhat, we have a few more things to do and more hardware to install. Unfortunately this takes time. The cams are still slow to load, we are working on that, but once you are inside, they stream fast and the quality is better. We did a lot to improve the verification process for new members wanting to chat.

Englishman I want to thank you for supporting us and sticking with us. I promise you that the new cam4 will be miles better than the old cam4 in the near future. It's a bit more complicated to use, but it has many more features.

Reallyhot, a rating system is a great idea. We want to include a user rating system in a future release so you can vote on hot cams and have them move up in the ranks so they are easy to find.

XMrC, We are trying to stop people from spamming urls in the chat. The abusers are other cam sites. We delete these accounts as fast as we can. Anyone using a cam to promote another cam site is also shut down. We think that if we allow this to happen, that the entire site will be full of other cam sites spamming people in a matter of days.

However we think that people broadcasting on cam4 should be able to promote their website, facebook page, whatever as long as it's in the profile page or not blantantly spammy. We would like to get more hot pornstars, models, escorts, attention whores using cam4 as a promotional tool. We think that we all win, you get to see more hot people, they get some low cost promotion. I would be curious to hear all your thoughts about self promotion on cam4. What would you think is acceptable or not?

I have to agree that I am disappointed as much as you are that we launched this without being totally prepared to handle the load and with so many bugs. We continue to work hard to fix them. We've hired more expert help, and are investing in new equipment to handle the loads. We hope you hang in here with us, because you helped us make it a sucess so far. Thank you for your support.

Cam4Guy - well, I appreciate you are having problems with the new system, but to add my 2 cents' worth, the site is vastly inferior to the old version. In short, as of today, it simply doesn't work for non-paying members: the cams never come up, the page reverts to thumbnails. I can't speak for VIP members of course...

Ive noticed improvements over the last few days.

Would it be possible to allow a broadcaster to be recorded by the viewer? Them having the option of course.

Or maybe allow them to post a pre-recorded vid on there, like Xtube etc.

I have to disagree with you there.
I think the site is improving, and as a non paying member the cams are coming up much more quickly than they were.
At times it can still be a bit slow, but every time I log on I notice an improvement.
